Making A Purchase
Making a purchase with us is very simple. Just follow the instructions on your screen, or if you prefer call our sales team on 01462-851103. Our sales team will be on hand to assist you in your purchase.
Once you have placed your order with us, you will receive by return, a confirmation email including a description of the goods that you have purchased and a VAT invoice. We will then notify you by email as to the approximate delivery date of your order.
Personalised goods or goods made to a consumer specification cannot be returned or cancelled. Please consider this carefully before placing your order.

We retain the right to make adjustments to the pricing on this site to take account of any increase in our suppliers' prices, the imposition of any taxes or duties. Or if due to an error omission, the price published for the goods is incorrect regardless of the status of the order.
Payment can be made using all major credit cards.
Shipping And Handling
Mainland UK - Delivery quoted is to any single UK mainland address only, using a one-man delivery to ground floor locations only. Delivery is only £5.95 (+V.A.T.) on all orders. All deliveries will need to be signed for.
We do not deliver to Jersey, Guernsey, Northern Ireland, Ireland or any outlying islands. For Scottish Highlands there will be an extra charge, please email on email@example.com or call us on 01462-851103 for quotes.
The majority of our smaller parcel deliveries are handled by APC Network. Fragile or large bulky items are handled by TNT. We will arrange delivery by a dedicated delivery vehicle to ensure the products arrive safely and undamaged.
On arrival, all goods must be inspected carefully for any signs of damage or shortage by the customer, or your approved agent at the delivery address given at the time of placing your order. Please take your time and inspect the goods before signing the delivery note. In the unlikely event that you do find any damage or shortage, please ask the driver to take the goods back with them, or sign the delivery document as damaged.
Please open all the boxes or parcels as soon as they arrive. You have 3 days to notify Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD of any shortages or damage.
If we are not notified of shortages or damage within this time, you agree to indemnify Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD in full against any losses we suffer as a result of your failure to notify us within 3 days.
Please do not install your product if it is damaged, as once it is installed you have agreed to it being in good condition.
If you have any issues regarding delivery either before or after placing your order please feel free to contact our customer support team on 01462-851103 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please have your unique customer reference number available when contacting us, it makes locating your details that much easier and faster for you. Please ensure that you give us the correct delivery address at the time of ordering your goods, as changing delivery address can cause major logistical problems resulting in time delays. Sometimes even having to recall goods from our carriers back to our warehouse, in order to re-package and re-send them. Changing delivery addresses will in some circumstances be chargeable at £15.00 + VAT to cover administration costs.
Most items are despatched to the customer within 2-6 working days of your order being received. Where a product is not in stock or is on an extended delivery period, we will email you to advise on an anticipated delivery date.
Delivery dates are approximate and no liability whatsoever is accepted in respect of late or delayed deliveries. Please do not book your plumber or installer before you have received and inspected the goods.
If your item is not in stock, we will place a back order for you. You will always be emailed and informed about any delays. You have the option to wait if you are happy to do so, or you have the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait, the choice is yours.
Orders from Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD are subject to UK VAT at 20%. All prices are shown with and without VAT to make prices totally clear to everyone.
Credit Card Security
We treat your credit and debit card security as our priority. We want you to have a great safe and secure shopping experience with Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD. Your personal details and security could not be safer. Our payment section uses 128-bit encryption, which is the highest security level. Your personal details are entered directly onto our payment processing companies' 128-bit encrypted pages. Your credit and debit card details are not held on our system at all.
Our payment system is supplied by NatWest Streamline using SagePay clearing system. The NatWest Streamline system is 100% safe and secure. NatWest Streamline have a first class reputation for security and quality of service second to none.
In the interests of preventing fraudulent use of credit, debit and charge cards, Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD will validate the names, addresses, and other information supplied during the order process against commercially available records (e.g. Electoral Roll data, Credit Reference Services). A third party may also be instructed to complete these checks. By ordering from the Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD website you consent to such checks being made. Any information given may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of the information. All information provided will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

All products sold at Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD carry full manufacturers' guarantees ranging from 12 months to 10 years. All manufacturers' guarantees are stated on all the products that we sell.
Please note that the guarantee will not be valid for orders delivered outside of the UK mainland or if the product is not installed by a registered installer (where appropriate).

Hitchin Plumbing Supplies Limited does not disclose buyer's information to third parties. Cookies are used on our site, but these are only used to keep track of your shopping trolley contents once you have selected an item. Any information given at the time of ordering is collected by us for the sole intention of completing your order. We may collect information to enable us to inform you from time to time, by email or post, of new products and services available from Hitchin Plumbing Supplies LTD. All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998. This guarantee is in addition to any warranties or conditions implied by law and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
All returns have to be accompanied by a returns number.
You will then need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01462-851103 to obtain a returns number. Any returns received back without a valid returns number or the correct paperwork will result in a delay processing your return.
If any item has any faults or manufacturing defects on delivery, it will be replaced at our expense.
Changed Your Mind?
You may withdraw from this agreement at any time up to 14 days after we have delivered the goods to you. If we have delivered the goods, you must not have used them and must have kept them in the condition as they were delivered within 28 days from the day after the day the goods were delivered. You must return them to us, at your cost. We will then credit for the goods less our postage costs if applicable.

The goods must be returned to us in perfect condition as delivered, with the original undamaged packaging. You should not write anything on the product packaging as the product will not be in a saleable condition and you will not be refunded.
If you are returning the goods it is recommended that you take out insurance against damage or if the goods go missing. Please ensure you wrap the parcel up in an outer box, this way the display or original box will not get damaged.
If you wish to return the goods more than 14 days after we have delivered them to you, this would be at our discretion and up to a maximum of 21 days from date of delivery. You must not have used the goods and must have kept them in the condition they were delivered. You must return them to us, at your cost. There may be an additional administration charge of up to 35% of the purchase price of the goods returned. Please inspect your goods upon arrival.
We will reimburse any amounts you have paid to us within 30 days of return of the goods, having deducted any return costs and administration fee if applicable.
Please note: Business to business transactions are not covered by standard distance selling regulations.
